ANIMAL ACADEMY
We offer an online programme for young people from under-represented backgrounds to reach their goals of studying and working with animals. The programme provides access to exclusive support, advice and events about animal careers, going to university, and learning from the RVC’s student and animal experts!
AFTERNOON ANATOMY
In person programme available for school groups, not currently available due to the pandemic. This activity teaches comparative physiology in the animal world by introducing groups to different real animal specimens.
BIOLOGY OR CHEMISTRY MASTERCLASS
In person programme available for school groups, not currently available due to the pandemic. Delivered by a Science Researcher at the RVC, this activity provides a taster of university-level learning with a focus on the science that underpins veterinary medicine.
This two-day, non-residential Easter School takes place at our Camden and Hawkshead campuses for students currently in Year 10, however it was run online for 2020 due to the pandemic and may do again in 2021.
Young people will meet peers who are also aspiring vets, vet nurses and scientists, and reflect on your own career goals and how to achieve them. Practically, you can take part in fun activities at our Anatomy Museum, Animal Hospital and laboratories which are actually used by students at the RVC.

The RVC Sutton Trust Summer School gives students a real experience of university life through living at the Royal Veterinary College’s Hawkshead Campus for a week during the school holidays, however it was run online for 2020 due to the pandemic and may do again in 2021.
Students take part in lectures, hands-on practicals at our farm and animal hospitals, fun evening activities and even a veterinary science fair! Meet RVC students and professionals working in a range of veterinary and biological sciences careers, and build friendships with other young people interested in animals.
