FIRST CHANCES FIFE
First Chances Fife is a programme that aims to raise the aspirations and achievements of pupils as they progress through their education. The programme works with students from P7 to S6 and continues to support them into further and higher education.
GATEWAY TO MEDICINE
The Gateway to Medicine is a one-year programme intended to promote the uptake of higher education, specifically the study of medicine, among those groups that are traditionally underrepresented at university.
The Gateway to Science provides supported entry into degree-level study at St Andrews for applicants who have narrowly missed the minimum entry grades and meet some, if not all, of the contextual criteria noted in the eligibility section below.
The Gateway to Arts programme provides supported entry into degree-level study at St Andrews for applicants who have narrowly missed our minimum entry grades and meet some, if not all, of the contextual criteria noted in the eligibility section below.
In the Gateway entry year, you will study the same core physics modules and a math module as students on the traditional entry route, and some modules that are available only to those on the Gateway to Physics and Astronomy programme. The Gateway-specific modules aim to develop important academic skills within the context of astrophysics, physics, and mathematics study.
